[2004] BEPPE US TOUR PRINT HIS MARK!
From New York to Florida, on the footprints of mythical Elvis
Beppe Granieri, the South Italian singer, is for the fourth consecutive time in USA at the big show organised by L’IDEA Magazine of New York.
The show, held in the big theatre of New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, has seen also the extraordinary participation of Angelo Venuto, the italoamerican singer what it has led to the success in America “L’ITALIANO” song written by Toto Cutugno.
Beppe Granieri, very much waited by the Italian public, curious of judging his performance in the garments of the myth of the music Elvis Presley, has not disappointed the expectations and has reproposed the whole show that Elvis did to New York some years before dying.
The music and the suspence, helped to perfection by lights games and the growing rhythm of the music of introduction, in Elvis'style has done the rest. On the peak of everything this one the apparition of Beppe in the suits of mythical Elvis has made taking in feet the present public who has immediately guessed that the evening would have been necessary of not to forget those.
The choreography has been treated to perfection by “Fazio Dance Studio” that with his dancers followed Beppe Granieri in all the songs of the show, changing from time to time customs and dances, when the passages were following from the list.
A very touching moment has been when Beppe tuned the song “American Trilogy” that he has wanted to dedicate to the victims of World Trade Center in 11 September 2001.
The second part of the show, brings back Beppe Granieri on the stage, this time in traditional garment, with Neapolitan and ’60 Italian melodies.
While the organizers are preparing another two shows in Florida, Beppe decides to lead his new CD “The Legend – Tribute to a King” in Elvis's city. So he starts for his wonderful “adventure on the road”. After about sixteen hours of journey in car, Beppe is reached in Tennessee, and exactly in Nashville and Memphis; these cities are cosy but particularly, the typical West cities with bars and clubs, where people enters to drink a beer and to sing with the musicians who, on a tiny stage, improvise country or blues music.
So Beppe leaves Tennessee surrounded by some bows of snow, towards the hot and cosy Florida for other two shows in program.
Near Fort Lauderdale, it rises Pompano Beach, a renowned and luxurious place, goal in every month of the year of holidaymakers in search of a hot sun and of a provocative beach. In this city the Cultural Circle Italians of the Florida has organised a “dinner & dance” in the famous Frank' s Italian Restaurant near the Atlantic ocean. At the show there were been not only the members of the Circle, but also so many italoamerican citizens resident in the neighbourhoods. To remember dutifully some friends, so much fanatic about Beppe’s music, who they have been present at the show of New York, at that of Pompano Beach and then still at the next show organised in the city of Port St. Lucie.
In half evening, Beppe Granieri has performed in songs of his traditional catalogue, brushing up nostalgic passages of the Italian ballads. At the end of the show, Beppe’s poster and cards carried with us have not been enough: all the fans wanted to lead a memory to house and so many people have also purchased the new CD: The Legend.
Next day is the time of Port St. Lucie, Florida, for a pleasant and expected return of Beppe Granieri.
After two years by the last show in the “Community Center” of the city, Beppe made another “sold out” and all are anxious to see Elvis's performance, so as announced at the advertising posters.
Beppe has in Florida the same show made in Brooklyn . The people have applauded him and Elvis's fans have had their photo with the Italian singer. In the second part of show, as usually, Beppe sang the Italian classic melodies, waking up the memories and the nostalgia of the participants.
This was a big dream for Beppe, now being in reality. He has donated it to all his fans, those who have listened and applauded him. A dream that if only a moment has lasted, but that has made to us reconnecting, even if for few instants ideally to our faraway country.
The popularity of Beppe Granieri in New York and Florida is now a true reality, his CDs and particularly the last "The Legend", are sold by now in a regular manner costing in the businesses of Italian disks of Little Italy of Brooklyn and Bronx: Beppe has managed to win the liking of the italo american public and this is not easy for all singers.
A dream started four years ago, almost in mute and that has concluded with an absolute clamour.
A promise, of course, is that one to programming an other one, very soon.

[2006] A STAR IN BROOKLYN
Giuseppe Granieri is graduated in Jurisprudence (Law), has been a graphic designer and advertising consultant and since many years he is the art director of our magazine “L’IDEA”.
But he’s not the person who has presented himself on the New Utrecht High School stage of Brooklyn.
This manager in advertising, in fact, has left the own garments to represent to us that pleasant Beppe Granieri whom so much success has had in the last six years.
Best guest of the evening organised by L’Idea, Beppe has been able to create a program that was complimenting that participants to the competition of Miss Idea 2006. Another positive experience for him, who has been able to demonstrate his melodious and organizational abilities, and for the public, that has appreciated the efforts of this skilful Apulian showman.
Helped by an excellent singer and imitator, Giuliano, arrived purposely by Germany, Beppe Granieri has been able to capture the wishes of by now well-known spectators to him, offering an intense show but at the same time intimately, personally, refined.
Beppe has made a name for himself once more with his melodic, hot and personal voice, but at the same time loaded with variations, that can relate either to unforgettable Elvis Presley, or to everlasting Fausto Leali. His voice has a plasticity that lets him reply really the voices of other singers in the reproduction of famous songs, like: “Can’t help falling in love” or “Un’ora sola ti vorrei”, not so much for an attempt of imitation as for an innate sense of the melody that allows him to "feel" the song in syntony with the original interpretation.
This his ability of identifying with the interpreter leads it to recreate then the original "rapport" at such a point that is difficult to distinguish two versions. Only an attentive spectator can realise that what is in front of us, on the stage surrounded by wonderful girls, is not Fausto Leali or Riccardo Cocciante, but our dear Beppe. His catalogue for this magnificent evening has included songs of Johnny Dorelli, Little Tony, Gigi D' Alessio and Renzo Arbore, as well as an agreeable medley of Neapolitan songs that they have as always "melted" the heart of the present ones.
The public admires it, applauds it as if it is the first time, recalls it for twice and asks him for autographs as if he is a singer of cry, a true "star".
Here in Brooklyn he is a big.
